These stories keep getting better and better. I can't believe I only have four left. :( This series had a shaky start with me. It took me a few books to get used to Hansen's descriptive narrative and his tendency for passive sentences, but it does lend a certain atmosphere to his books that I haven't found anywhere else. It also took me awhile to get a handle on Dave, since we're not really told much about him. Hansen is very much the show don't tell type, and it turns out Dave is one of the bigger mysteries in this series because of it. Things got better with book #4 when Cecil showed up, and now I'm loving this series. I plan to read straight through until I finish now.
