I liked this story overall. It was nice to see something that deals with PTSD in a realistic way. There are no easy cures and love does not conquer all. It's a process, a long one, and this story doesn't shy away from that. I adored Blaze, the therapy dog, and Ben, the love interest who comes in halfway through, was nice. However, the main bulk of this short story covers over a year of Jason's life, which means there's a lot of telling and summarizing, and it ends up feeling a little dry.
